Adopt-a-Highway - clean up on Cross County Highway took place on a cold, rainy Saturday, April 17 with 12 members and 5 Finneytown High School Key Club members participating. Two additional work sessions are required before November to fulfill our commitment for 1999.

Government Affairs - Mike Hinnenkamp reminded members of the upcoming free concert series on July 16 (The Modulators) and August 13 (Ooh La La & the Greasers coupled with a classic car cruise-in). Peggy Doller solicited volunteers to man the sandwich booth at these events with any profit over and above cost going to the Business Association. Seven members indicated they would work July 16 and nine on August 13. Workers are to report to The Grove by 5:00 p.m. each night.

Membership Committee - A membership committee was formed with Gail Jacobs acting as chairperson. The goal of this committee will be to increase membership and generate interest among current members.

The Treasurer reported a balance of $1,948. The Association has 3 new members bringing the total membership to 60+. A donation of $50 was made to the Finneytown High School Key Club for their help with the highway clean up.

The Business Expo committee suggested holding the Expo in The Grove Hall during the Township's August 13 concert. Cathy Bonewell will write a formal request to the Township Trustees.

Following round-table discussions to learn what the major expectations or concerns of each member are, a poll of members indicated the Association should focus on the web site, newsletter, Business Expo, interesting speakers and taking a position on public projects.
