Minutes of Regular Meeting

November 12, 1998

President Robin McNulty convened the regular meeting of the Springfield Township Business Association at 8:10 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 1998 in The Grove banquet hall, 9158 Winton Road. In attendance were 32 members and 2 guests - Mr. Jim Reichel of Fifth/Third Bank and Ms. Amy Augsburger of Ohio Department of Transportation.

Because the Annual meeting is held each November, the first order of business was election of officers for 1999. Mr. McNulty announced that the proposed slate of officers and directors was the same as those elected at the organizational meeting in May. He then called for additional nominations from the floor but there were none and nominations were closed.

There was no old business to be considered.

The member spotlight fell on Tony Rossi of TOP Communications who is our fifty-third member. Mr. Rossi's company sets up radio communication systems with a particular focus on government agencies such as police and fire departments.

Nancy Grathwohl introduced Mr. Jim Riechel, Director of Security for 5th/3rd Bank and a former FBI agent. Mr. Riechel spoke on check and credit card fraud and how to protect our business and personal accounts, particularly during the busy holiday season.
