Business of the Month: The Will Agency
President Bob Will informed members of the insurance services offered by this agency which his father started and moved into Springfield Township in 1966. Mr. Will reminded everyone to insure property for what it would cost in today's dollars to rebuild - not what was paid for the property when purchased - and to update a policy any time an addition or alteration takes place. Of interest to all business owners, a home business office has very little coverage under a homeowners policy and usually liability coverage is not included. He suggested having a rider or a separate business policy.
Guest Speaker: Gary Miller, Executive Director of the Cincinnati Chapter American Red Cross
Mr. Miller, who is a Township resident, explained the services provided by the Red Cross, particularly in the aftermath of a disaster. He is a Level 5 Operations Director, the highest classification obtainable and has been called to coordinate efforts all over this country and in several other countries. Mr. Miller complimented the Township on their Disaster Plan and reminded businesses of the need to set up their own plan. He noted that the majority of businesses do not reopen following a disaster because they have not considered business resumption planning. Have a list of alternate suppliers and a plan to set up an alternate phone system so your customers can reach you even if your building is destroyed.Next Meeting:
