President Joseph Gorman convened the regular meeting of the Springfield Township Business Association at 12: 05 P.M. on Thursday, March 9, 2000 in The Grove Banquet Hall, 9158 Winton Road. Forty-three members were present for the box lunch meeting.
Minutes of the January 13, 2000 meeting were approved on motion by Kathy Koops and second by Tom Bryan. Treasurer Bob Will reported receipts of $325.00 and expenditures of $445.84 leaving a current balance of $3,481.45.
Announcements:
Adopt-a-Highway clean up is scheduled for Saturday, March 11 at 8:00 A.M. Volunteers will meet at the Fire Station, 8375 Winton Road.
The second annual Business Expo will be July 21, 2000 at The Grove. Space is limited so contact Gene Burton to reserve a table and for further details. The Expo will be held in conjunction with the free Groovin'at the Grove concert by Big Bill Pickle and the Jerkin' Gherkins and a live broadcast by WGRR Radio featuring Dusty Rhodes.
Township Recreation Director Melanie McNulty solicited sponsorship by members for trophies to be presented at the Classic Car show on August 18, 2000. Trophies will feature a plate showing the name of the sponsor. To participate, members should contact Mrs. McNulty at the Township office, 522-1410. Cost is $30 per trophy and a good way to advertise our businesses.

Office Manager Kathy Koops spoke of the 900 agents who serve this general area and the services they provide. With over 59,000 visits to their web site this is a very active member of our business community.
Guest Speaker: Dusty Rhodes, Auditor of Hamilton County
Mr. Rhodes explained the duties of his office and how to use the Auditor's web site to find information related to real estate, Board of Revision, Weights and Measures and various other facets of the Auditor's responsibilities. As always, Mr. Rhodes was a most informative and entertaining speaker.
