SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP BUSINESS ASSOCIATION
GENERAL MEETING SEPTEMBER 12, 2002
The breakfast meeting was held at 8:00 a.m. at the Springfield Township Senior Center. There were 17 people in attendance.
Vice President Andy Boettcher chaired the meeting in the absence of President Deborah Reynolds. The meeting was called to order at 8:10 a.m.
Treasurers Report Bob Will gave the following report:
Balance as of last board meeting - $2,850.06
Income - 647.62
Expenses - 906.15
Current balance $2,591.53
Programs Denise Cagle reported that the November will be a luncheon. She asked if anyone would host the meeting. Elections will be that day. Nominations for officers and board members are now being accepted. An Open House to attract new members is being planned for October.
Land Use and Zoning - Bob Trenkamp reported that the Springfield Township Winton Road streetscape plan is progressing and will be tied to corridor road improvements planned by Hamilton County.
Groovin at the Grove Melanie McNulty thanked the STBA for its participation in running the grilled food booth at the August 16 Groovin at the Grove. Thank you to Maggie Wesley for organizing the workers and to all that helped. Melanie also reported that crowds for both summer events were larger than past years.

Andy Boettcher introduced the speaker, Scott Cast of Midland Atlantic Real Estate.
Midland Atlantic
Mr. Cast reported that obtaining a large tenant, such as Biggs, in the Plaza is the key to other businesses locating along Winton Road. If Biggs moves in, so do better tenants. Panera Bread is looking to locate along Winton Road.
Bob Will spoke about the importance of getting new people on the STBA board and the need to amend the current by-laws. Nominations for officers and board members will be taken anytime from now until the November meeting.
The next meeting of the Board of Directors is 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 10 at the Springfield Township Administration Building.
