SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Board of Directors – September 13, 2007

PRESENT: Rhys Reynolds, Jeffery McKanna, Scott Finke and Melanie McNulty.

The meeting was held at Panera Bread and was called to order at 8:00 A.M. by President Rhys Reynolds.

Treasurer’s Report: Ms. Teich was unable to attend the meeting; however the following report was emailed to Ms. Reynolds.

Balance as of 9-12-07: $1,337.50

STCC received an invoice from the Wall Street Journal, classroom edition, for the 2007-08 school year for Finneytown High School. Melanie McNulty made a motion to pay this $165 invoice as part of our yearly community outreach commitment. The motion was seconded and passed.

Regional Commerce Partnership (RCP):

• The RCP power lunch will be held on Wednesday, October 17^th at Dave and Buster’s in Springdale. Networking begins at 11 A.M. with buffet lunch and program from 11:45 until 1:15 P.M. Cost is $15 members/$20 non-members.
• The RCP Holiday Party is scheduled for Wednesday, December 12^th at the Sheraton Hotel in Springdale.
• SOCA Safety Seminar on Tuesday, October 16^th – This seminar will be held at the Chamber of Commerce in Middletown, Ohio. The informative exercise for members is put on by the Bureau of Workers’ Compensations’ Workers’ Comp University. Please check the BWC website at ohiobwc.com for more information.

Final Schedule:

· The final general meeting of the Springfield Township Chamber of Commerce will be held on Thursday, November 8^th at 11:30 A.M. at the Township Fire Department Training Room. This will be a catered lunch. Guest speaker is Chris Gilbert, Assistant Administrator for Springfield Township. Those planning to attend must RSVP to Melanie McNulty, 522-1410 or email her at mmcnulty@springfieldtwp.org by Monday, November 5.

To follow up on the RCP meetings and the STCC upcoming general meeting, Scott Finke will send an informational card to all members by September 20^th.

New Business:

Ms. Reynolds reported that current members of the STCC will have the option of joining the Forest Park Chamber of Commerce or the Woodlawn Chamber of Commerce in 2008.

Announcements:

· Rhys Reynolds announced that as a fund-raiser, Project ArtReach is selling Macy’s coupons for a special day of shopping on October 13^th. Cost per coupon is $5.

· Ms. Reynolds also announced that the Springfield Township Democrat Club is hosting a spaghetti dinner fund-raiser on ? . It will be held at the Williamsburg apartments party room and the cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children.
