PRESENT: Rhys Reynolds, Bob Will, Scott Finke, Chip Berquist,
Chris Vogelsang and Melanie McNulty.
The meeting was held at the Northminster Presbyterian Church
Family Life Center and was called to order at 8:10 A.M.

RCP (Regional Commerce Partnership) Updates Ð
- RCP
Planning meeting, September 14 Ð Chris Vogelsang will attend as the STCC
rep. Meeting open to all.

Fall Luncheon meeting Ð Wed., October 19, Ramada Inn. Schedule:
á 11:00 - Registration and networking
á 11:45
Ð 1:15 Ð Lunch and guest speaker Laura Brunner. Topic ÒAre You On a Winning Team?Ó
á Cost
- $15 per person OR $250 to sponsor a table. If a table is sponsored, STCC receives money from the
sponsorship.
Ideas for Upcoming Projects Ð
- Discussion
took place about fund-raiser ideas for the Chamber of Commerce. Some ideas were:
- Income
currently from dues and working GroovinÕ at the Grove.
- Bring
in an outstanding speaker to a general meeting. Possibly invite other Chambers or Business
Associations to the meeting.
- Hire
Kathy Walters (works with the RCP and other Chambers) to help with
general administrative work and have her set-up large meetings and
speakers for us.
Announcements Ð
- GroovinÕ
at the Grove Ð Bob Will said he will have workers for the DonatoÕs booth
on August 20th.
Will begin selling food at 11:30.
- Chip
Berquist will send an email to all members asking for help at the booth.
New Business Ð
- Melanie
McNulty will look into the business advertising signs for the Ronald
Reagan Highway exits to Winton Road.
- The
STCC may look into having a ÒTaste of Springfield TownshipÓ in conjunction
with GroovinÕ at the Grove next year. Is the Grove area a large enough location?
- Scott
Finke set-up standing dates for the STCC newsletter to go out. Beginning in September it will go
out on the first of the month, every other month: September 1, November 1,
January 1, etc. All
articles and information MUST be into Scott by the 15th of the
month before the newsletter goes out.
- The
STCC Board will put a calendar together for the upcoming year. Meetings, topics, RCP events and
other information will be listed on it. Member businesses will then know what dates to plan on.
The next Board meeting date was changed to Thursday,
September 29th at 8:00 A.M. It will be held in the Springfield
Township Administration Building.
The next general meeting date is Thursday November 10 at
11:30 A.M. at Waycross Community Media.
Elections of officers will take place at this time.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:10 A.M.
