SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP BUSINESS ASSOCIATION

Board of Directors Meeting — June 12, 2003

PRESENT: Deborah Reynolds, Andy Boettcher, Denise Cagle, Karen Burton and Melanie McNulty.

The meeting was held at Angelo’s Restaurant and called to order at 8:10 A.M.

Treasurer’s Report — No report.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Programs: Andy reported that the Powel Crosley YMCA is hosting a Family Financial Planning Workshop Series during the summer. Helping with the series is Leo Broerman from Edward Jones Investments, Winton Savings and Loan and Provident Bank. Mr. Boettcher is advertising on Waycross Community Media and will pass out flyers at the Groovin’ at the Grove Business Expo.

Denise Cagle will try to set the program calendar for the coming year and have it ready for the September meeting.

There were no reports from the Communications, Membership or Land Use and Zoning Committees.

OLD BUSINESS

Groovin’ at the Grove Business Expo — July 18, 2003; 6:30 — 8:00 P.M. Karen Burton is organizing the Expo for the second year. Tables are free to STBA members. Each member should give a $25 door prize for the raffle. Tables for non-STBA members are $35. Karen reported she has three tables reserved so far. She also plans to have four demonstrations by various businesses.

NEW BUSINESS

RCPNext planned event is in the fall. Year will begin with a Power Lunch Kick-Off in Sharonville. Deborah will take extra Business Directories to the Business Expo to sell for $10 each.

Other Business News — Andy Boettcher reported that a newly renovated Forest Mills Mall plans to open in the fall in Forest Park. Wyoming’s Concerts on the Green will continue throughout the summer. The concert series is presented by the Wyoming Business Association.

Next general meeting: Thursday, September 11 at 8:00 A.M Breakfast meeting held in Room A of the Springfield Township Senior Center.

Next Board meeting: Thursday, October 9 at 8:00 A.M. at the Springfield Township Administration Building.
