PRESENT:  Rhys Reynolds, Jeffery McKanna, Scott Ficke and Melanie McNulty.

The meeting was held at the Springfield Township Administration Building and was called to order at 8:05 A.M. by president Rhys Reynolds.

Nomination to elect new treasurer:  Ms. Reynolds nominated Jeffery McKanna to replace Chip Berquist as the STCC treasurer.  The nomination was seconded and passed by unanimous vote.

TreasurerÕs Report Ð Chip Berquist emailed the following financial report:

Balance as of 3/7/06: $2,906.55.

Rhys reported that Jansi Dry Cleaners had sent their payment for an RCP Directory ad.  Sunrise Assisted Living, AXA Advisors and one other company are also taking out ads and should be invoiced as such.

Ms. Reynolds will meet with Mr. McKanna to develop a budget for the upcoming year.  They will have the budget ready for review by March 27, 2006.

Old Business:

RCP Directories Ð

Scott Ficke has worked with Kathy Dennis to prepare information for the new directory.  Information and ads have been sent to Kathy Walters at the RCP.

Kathy Dennis will maintain an updated STCC roster.  When needed, she will be paid to help with administrative work for the Chamber of Commerce.  Rhys will also ask her to serve on the board of directors.

New Business:

Replacement Board Members Ð

Due to various reasons, the number of board members has recently decreased.  Because of the decrease, president Reynolds proposes to call STCC members to ask if they would like to serve on the board.  There are currently 55 members.  The positions open are vice president and two trustees.  Ms. Reynolds will contact members by March 31, 2006.

Rhys will also speak with Chip Berquist about remaining on the board as corresponding secretary.  Mr. Berquist has committed to maintaining the website.

STCC Static Clings Ð

Scott Ficke will contact Scott Borgman to ask about the status of the static clings to be sent to current STCC members for display in their business.  Scott will let the board know the status by March 16.

Fund Raisers:

The planned Wine Tasting fund-raiser will be moved to Thursday, March 30th if the date is agreeable with Nancy Phillips at Sunrise Assisted Living.  Scott will send out post cards to township businesses announcing the event.  He will also check with a company about updating our Springfield Township business list and find out how much that service will cost.

Melanie will call Nancy to see if Sunrise is available on March 30th.

Time: 6:00 Ð 8:00 P.M.; Tentative cost: $25; RSVP to Rhys at 521-9300 (leave message)

Melanie reported that Springfield TownshipÕs summer events will no longer be called GroovinÕ at the Grove.  The larger, one weekend event has yet to be named, however all plans are underway.  Dates are Friday, June 30th and Saturday, July 1st.  Ms. McNulty asked if the STCC would like to participate in the Saturday parade and possibly run a food booth as in past years.  The board decided to definitely participate in the parade in some way, but tabled the idea of running a food booth.  That will be decided at the next board meeting.

Next board meeting: Thursday, April 13th at 8:00 A.M. at the Springfield Township Administration Building.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:15.

Respectfully submitted,

Melanie McNulty, Recording Secretary
