Committee Reports:
- Communications Chip Berquist reported that the next newsletter will be mailed out on January 3, so all articles must be sent to him by January 2. Karen Burton asked if we are still spotlighting one business in each newsletter. That is something we would like to do each month. Karen will assume responsibility for the spotlight article beginning in February. Deborah will do it for the January newsletter by speaking with the College Hill Pet Clinic.
- Programs Denise Cagle was not able to attend todays meeting. Andy Boettcher, however, suggested putting a list of goals and activities for the upcoming year in the January or February newsletter.
- Land Use and Zoning Bob Trenkamp was not able to attend.
- Membership Karen Burton and Maggie Wesley continue to work as the membership committee. President Reynolds asked that Maggie be included in future Board meetings and emails. She also said that STBA needs a good packet of information to hand out to potential business members. Vice President Boettcher added that he will be visiting 150 local businesses after the first of the year and would be happy to give information to them.
- Ohio Bicentennial Melanie McNulty reported that the Bicentennial Committee had its first meeting on December 11 and developed a list of potential activities to celebrate the Bicentennial. The celebration most likely will take place at one of the Groovin at the Grove events, however, no definite plans are in place as yet.
Old Business:
- Ms. Reynolds continues to pursue the possibility of our Business Association becoming a Chamber of Commerce, or joining the Southern Ohio Chamber of Commerce.
