SPRINGFIELD TWP BUSINESS ASSOCOCIATION
GENERAL MEETING NOVEMBER 21. 2002
President Deborah Reynolds called the meeting to order at 11:45 A.M.
Deborah asked all attendees to introduce themselves & what business they represent & what that consisted of.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Treasurers Report: Bob Will reported the balance as of the last meeting was $2,862.88. Income was $2.43 which consisted of interest. Expenses were $399.49. Our current balance is $2,465.82. Membership was at 56.
Program: Denise Cagle reported Judge Dinkelaker will be our guest speaker today & will also do the swearing in of officers. A Holiday Luncheon will be held with RCP at Dave & Busters on December 12, 2002. A Flyer was passed out with all the details.
Deborah indicated the RCP has no cost to join & they meet every other month on a rotating basis. They also have a Business Directory our members could be a part of.
Communication: Chip Berquist requested that anyone with a new address contact himself so our mailing list is up to date.
Land use Zoning: In Bob Trenkamp place, Joe Gorman reported on the new businesses in the area.
Chip Berquist nominated the following officers. Neena Jud second.

All won by unanimous vote & were sworn in by Judge Dinkelaker.
Judge Dinkelaker then gave his talk. He reported on how busy the courts are. Theft of Identity is becoming very common. Passing bad checks is easier than robbing a bank. He also discussed the change in the Ohio Supreme Court with the latest election. They should be more favorable to business. School funding was also discussed. He felt the new Supreme court would allow the Legislature to decide the issue.
Mike Hinnenkamp, Township Administrator, gave township update. Renovation of Police Dept. Completed. There will be a new firehouse, designs are being worked on. The firehouse by Brentwood Plaza will be sold. The new one will be located by the Administration Building.
Deanna Kuennen added the plans are final for the park located where Warder Nursery was. Township Web site is also expanded with many more links.
Chip Berquist presented the proposed By-Law changes. Joe Gorman made motion to accept , Gene Burton second. Voted on & passed.
Bicentennial Celebration: Contact Melanie McNulty for participation.
Winterfest: December 8, 2002. Maggie Wesley needs volunteers to work the hot chocolate booth.
Maggie is working on getting e-mail addresses for all. She is also working on plaque for members to display.
President Deborah Reynolds adjourned the meeting at 1:05.
