SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Board of Directors – January 18, 2007

PRESENT: Rhys Reynolds, Thea Teich, Jeffery McKanna, Scott Finke and Melanie McNulty

The meeting was held at Panera Bread on Winton Road and was called to order at 8:10 A.M. by president Rhys Reynolds.

Treasurer’s Report – Thea Teich gave the following report:

Balance as of November 11, 2006 - $1,713.60

Expenses $291.29

Income $0.00

Current balance $1,422.31

New Business:

1. Letter to members

· A letter will be compiled by Thea and reviewed by Rhys explaining the need for members to step-up and take some leadership roles in the organization. Volunteers to take charge of certain tasks will be solicited. Examples are: planning a calendar, ideas for speakers, activities, projects, etc.

· In addition to the letter, a 2007 dues reminder and new member form plus a calendar of STCC and RCP meetings/events will be enclosed in the mailing.

· Also included will be information about the Regional Commerce Partnership (RCP), a benefit included by being a member of the STCC.

· Scott Finke will print all materials and send them out as soon as he has the information to all businesses.

2. RCP Updates
• Ms. Reynolds recently attended a RCP steering committee meeting. All meetings and events were put on a calendar for 2007. Speakers are currently being planned for the meetings.
• She also reported that the STCC could still be a part of the RCP Directory. All information must be in by March 15^th.
• President Reynolds made the motion that the Springfield Township Chamber of Commerce be included in the RCP business directory. The motion was seconded and passed.
• Rhys will ask board member, Kathy Dennis, to take charge of the STCC part of the directory. Ms. Dennis headed this up in 2006 and did an outstanding job.

February – Board meeting. Thursday, 2-8, 8:00 A.M. @ Panera

February – RCP quarterly meeting @ Ramada Inn, Springdale, Wednesday, 2 – 21. 11:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Speaker: Dr. Lintz with the Health Alliance. Topic “Health and Wellness.”

March - General meeting of members. Thursday, 3-8, 8:00 A.M. @ Panera mtg. Room

April - Board meeting. Thursday, 4-18, Place TBA

May - RCP quarterly meeting @ Sheraton Hotel, Sharonville. Wednesday, 5 - 16. 11:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Speaker TBA

June - Board meeting, Thursday, 5-14. Place TBA

July & August – recess

September - Board meeting. Thursday, 11-13, Place TBA

October - RCP quarterly meeting @ Ramada Inn, Springdale. Wednesday, 10-17 11:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Tentative speaker, Dr. Odell Owens

November - STCC General meeting of members, Thursday, 11-8, TBA

December - RCP Holiday Luncheon @ Sheraton Hotel, Sharonville. Wednesday, 12-12, 11:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.

The next board meeting will be held on Thursday, February 8 at 8:00 A.M. at Panera.
